This editorial concept sparked from a @voguemagazine global open call with the theme —
Women by Women: reclaiming the narrative on how we see ourselves and hold space for each other as women 🌹

I thought about this deeply, if I could visually say something to myself & fellow women in 15 frames, what would I say? what needed to be said in my submission?

I thought about all the pressure we have, both societal and self-inflicted. myself, my community, and all the women we watch and read about are constantly being judged (and therefore judging other women) on how well we perform and present ourselves under all that pressure…

can we do it all? work, take care of ourselves and our loved ones — all while looking and feeling “perfect.” holding in our emotions or feeling guilty for our emotions and feeling like we are “too much” if we let it out unfiltered.

it’s wild because our bodies are literally experiencing rebirth every month 🩸 whether we choose to pursue starting a family or not, our bodies and our cycles are working with us to prepare our wombs to bring life into the world. with that power, we have the gift of intuition and deep empathy.

yet so many of us are completely out of touch with our mind / body / spirit connection and balance — always fixated on our physical appearance and this linear pathway to “perfection” and “success.” so many of us find the capacity to be there for our loved ones while putting our own well being last and judging ourselves the most harshly 🥀

at 33 I am now realizing everything is connected. we are part of nature, constantly experiencing the rebirth cycle in both our physical and spiritual worlds 🌹🥀

“men rise & fall with the sun.
women evolve in cycles like the moon”
