Been avoiding posting this forever but the full moon energy has me feeling fierce and dgaf 🌝✨ So here’s a rare capture of me on the other side of the lens by the talented @carolineec as part of my BLOOM series
〰️ I light up when taking photos of others but never liked getting my own photo taken... Last year during peak quarantine I did my first self-portrait and it was both empowering and healing. I was finally able to break out of my shell and allow myself to be vulnerable and really see myself from a more intimate perspective.
〰️ Most people in general don’t enjoy getting their photo taken because they don’t want to be vulnerable. It’s the photographer’s job to create a healing space for people to feel comfortable enough to open up.
〰️ @rosie_pi said, “only when you are still you can see your growth” and @leadwithangelaaguirre said, “we heal in connection”
〰️ With that in mind, BLOOM is a collaboration series where I connect with other creative women to create a safe and magical space where we can capture each other in bloom, figuratively and literally using another medium I love, flower play.
〰️ @carolineec and I created our dream 60s flowerchild photobooth. I love that we shot each other in the same setting but came out with different vibes. Channeling my inner hippie disco glam Armenian style muse @cher ✨
