I’m all about creative communities. The painters, the writers, the directors, the designers, the performers, the entrepreneurs. Surrounding myself with like-minded humans who value creativity and ambition makes me happy. It's empowering. What could be more empowering than women supporting fellow women? I'm so thankful to have stumbled into a Love Made Me Do It event last year and to have crossed paths with the Love+Made ladies.
“I want to be around people who do things. I don’t want to be around people who judge or talk about what people do. I want to be around people who dream and do things.” -Amy Poehler
Love Made Me Do it is a monthly women’s networking series based in Los Angeles designed to bring together creative entrepreneurial females. Each time I attend, I can feel the room buzzing with creativity and drive. I'm infinitely thankful for the bold and beautiful souls I've crossed paths with through that channel.
It inspired me to reach out to the Love+Made ladies for the Love Made Babe of the Week collaboration blog series. For the past year, I've been interviewing creative entrepreneurial females within the fashion, music and art industries on the their blog. We wanted to get to build a platform where these women could share their stories, give professional advice and inspire readers to pursue their dream careers in the arts. It's been so rad seeing all the people who have been reached through this platform.
